Coles 4038 Studio Microphone
The studio 4038 and ENG 4104B "lip-mic", designed by the BBC in the '50s, still are unequaled. AEA is Coles' full service distributor, has written the 4038 manual and manufactures accessories. AEA's matched pair package include our SMT stereo mount and tutorial: Basic Stereo Microphone Perspectives.
AEA is the only full service representative for Coles Electroacoustic products in North America. We use only genuine factory parts and ribbon materials to service Coles mics and are the only facility outside of the UK to stock parts and perform warranty repairs on Coles microphones.

Matched Stereo Pair of 4038 Microphones
Matched Pair Kit includes a pair of AEA 4038SA stand adapters with engraved rotational angles, an AEA SMT bar, four 3/8-16 socket cap screws (EU), a TA-3 adapter from female 5/8-27(US) to male 3/8-16 (EU), a Posi-Lok swivel adapter, and a review of basic stereo perspectives. This kit allows for ORTF or head-to-head Blumlein mounting of the 4038 mics.
