Wes' 1972 African odyssey inspired these custom microphone stands. Tall, lightweight, portable stands (as copied by Shure and Beyer) were our first product. Studio crank-up boom stands with wheels, stands that collapse down to suitcase size, 40' stands. Tall to small we have them all.
FlightWeightTM stands provide a good balance of portability and sturdiness. All are black with a 22 lb. load capacity (more than enough to support a decca tree of M50s). They range from 5' (good for portable speaker stands) to 14'. For more height, the vertical extension (AEA-EX7) provides an additional 7.5' but reduces maximum load capacity. See the chart below for prices and specifications. Prices are for a complete stand ready for use. Steel and aluminum extensions come with an AEA-LMT mic thread adapter. Carbon fiber extensions come with a 5/8" adapter. 5/8"-27 mic threads are standard, European 3/8" or Japanese 1/2" are optional.

Medium-Duty Vertical Studio Stands with Articulated Leg
Our medium duty stand line provides a good balance of portability and sturdiness. All stands are black steel with a 22 lb. load capacity (more than enough to support a decca tree of M50s) All medium duty stands feature an articulated leg. They range from 5' (good for portable speaker stands) to 14'. If you need more height, we have a vertical extension available (AEA-EX7) that will provide an additional 7.5' but will reduce the maximum load capacity. Please see chart for prices and specs. Heavy-Duty Vertical Studio Stands with Articulated Leg
These collapsible steel and aluminum stands handle large booms or arrays easily and can get your mics into all the best-sounding locations. These stands are rated for a 66 lb. load capacity. Articulated legs (the 13 has one, but the 24 has 3) keep stands vertical on stairs, slopes or uneven floors. These stands are recommended if you need to boom out a significant amount of weight. There are vertical extensions available which provide additional height, but also limit the load capacity to 22 lbs. 5/8"-27 mic threads are standard, European 3/8" or Japanese 1/2" are optional.

Boom Kits for Medium and Heavy-Duty Vertical Stands
AEA boom lengths are 9, 13, 14, and 29 feet. Metallic booms include the AEA-BP Precision Pivot with 5° increment marks ±90°, an AEA-LMT 5/8" quick release mic-stand adapter, and a 10 lb. counterweight. Carbon Fiber booms include the AEA-BP, European 3/8" and US 5/8" mic-thread adapters and a sandbag counterweight. 5/8"-27 mic threads are standard, European 3/8" or Japanese 1/2" are optional.

AEA Vertical Extensions
AEA offers four vertical extensions. The lightweight 7EX fits over a 5/8 stud on MDV or HDV stands. The 5EX, 9EX, and the 14EX which can be used to extend the vertical reach of the 13HDV or the AEA-CRK Studio Master stand.
